A group of 21 people (3 teams of 7) from The Steeple Church have just completed an unusual challenge. Travelling by boat, on foot and by bicycle, they travelled across one of the broadest parts of Scotland from Inverie in Knoydart to Inverbervie on the east coast – a distance of around 176 miles.
The ‘Inver-Inver Crossers’ have raised funds from sponsorship for The Steeple Church’s Development Project, which aims to realise around £4 million to redevelop the interiors of the church’s outdated building and make them ‘fit for purpose’ to serve the city in the 21st century. 50% of the funds raised will go to the Development Project and 50% to the International Fund which supports three international projects. These are: a Christian hospital in Pakistan; a charitable organisation working with vulnerable children in Romania; and The Steeple Church’s continuing support of individuals in China.
It is not too late to contribute to the sponsorship! If you would like to sponsor the ‘Inver-Inver Crossers’ please click the link.
